Bride and Bridegroom (Cosmic Twins)

Dec 16, 2011   //   by DKing   //   Blog, Primordial Soul Pairs (Cosmic Twin)  //  No Comments

When I was around 9 years old, I had a discussion with my Grandmother about the “twin” concept.  During my NDE’s, I would recieve insights and knowledge concerning an ancient teacher who had lived in the past.  The ‘spirit guides’ would reference him as far as spiritual knowledge being left behind in the world.  I knew this man as “Yeshua.”   I was confused when people told me it sounded like I was talking about someone they knew of as Jesus.

My Grandmother and I were sitting at the kitchen table.  During this conversation, I had sight and sound of the ‘spirit guides.’  In fact, I had been speaking to them prior and they had directed me to have a private conversation with my Grandmother about “Yeshua.”  I would get confused and knew that in the past she had referenced Jesus.  I couldn’t figure out if they were one and the same or if they were two different teachers.  I was trying to grasp the ‘twinship’ concept in a private discussion with the spirit guides and was getting frustrated with the wording.

My Grandmother asked about the ‘invisible friends’ and I told her they were standing at the end of the table — as far as my eyes could see and my ears could hear.  I was used to my family being blind, deaf and dumb when it came to the ‘invisible guides.’   My family called them ‘imaginary friends’ but my Grandmother was the one person who had an open mind and felt they might be ‘minister angels’ teaching me about the truth.

So — I asked my Grandmother if the one she knew of by the name of Jesus — had a twin with him during his walk on earth.  (That is how she would refer to Jesus and his time.  When Jesus walked the earth.)   She told me that she hadn’t read anything in her good book and as far as she could remember — nothing had ever been mentioned in the religious discussions she had been involved with.   The ‘voice of the spirit’ guides directed me to ask my Grandmother,

“What about the bride with the bridegroom Grandma?  Does that book of your say anything about that?”

She said she did know of a verse which referenced that and was puzzled about it because as far as she could tell — he was an unmarried man.  When she told me there was a reference, I got very excited.  I knew that as I got older my connection to the spirit guides was going to fade from view.  I only had a childish perspective and wasn’t as knowledgeable concerning the theme pertaining to religion.   I looked at the conversations with the ‘spirit guides’ like bread crumbs I was laying down in a dark forest and I had to have a trail leading me back to my verbal conversations in an effort to retrieve the instructions given to me by the spirit guides.   My communication with them was like a vapor that was going to condense and evaporate with time.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. John 3:29

I told my Grandmother this was a different wording for the same thing I knew of as the twinship.  I even used my left and right arms to illustrate the  two parts of the same ‘inner’ body.  In my young mind — the two inner parts had to be joined together.

Each soul and spirit prior to its entering into this world, consists of a male and female united into one being. When it descends on this earth the two parts separate and animate two different bodies. At the time of marriage, the Holy One, blessed be He, who knows all souls and spirits, unites them again as they were before, and they again constitute one body and one soul, forming as it were the right and left of one individual.“
– The Hebrew Zohar

The verse, “And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent” (Genesis 24.67), our masters have interpreted to mean that the Divine Presence came into Isaac’s house along with Rebecca. According to the secret doctrine, the supernal Mother is together with the male only when the house is in readiness and at the time the masculine and feminine are conjoined. At such time blessings are showered forth by the supernal Mother upon them.
– Zohar, Genesis

And no one will be able to escape from these once they seize him unless he receives both Male and Female Power, which is the Bridegroom with the Bride. One receives them in the mirrored Bridal-suite. So it is if the Imagery and the Angel are mated together, neither can anyone dare to violate the Male or the Female.“
–Gospel of Philip

Until She is separated from His side, and cometh unto Him so that She may be conjoined with Him, face to face. And when They are conjoined together, they appear to be only one body. Hence we learn that the Masculine, taken alone, appeareth to be only half the body, so that all the mercies are half; and thus also is it with the Feminine. But when They are joined together, the (two together) appear to form only one whole body,. And it is so. So also here. When the Male is joined with the Female, They both constitute one complete body, and all the Universe is in a state of happiness, because all things receive blessing from Their perfect body. And this is an Arcanum.“
–Kabbalah Unveiled

I found another verse where the translator made a comment which references “twin” as well as ‘twinning.’

The soul of Adam came to exist by means of breath. The soul’s twin is the spirit. His mother is the thing that was given to him. His soul was carried (to him), and he was given a spirit where the soul is. When he was unified, he spoke words incomprehensible to the powers. They envied him.
–Gospel of Philip
Comment by April DeConick: I translated the word “unified” but it literally means “twinned” and is the same word, although a verb, as earlier in the passage with the spirit is called the soul’s twin.

This comment and passage also reflects other conversations I had during my childhood where I referenced the ‘spirit’ and the ‘soul’ as two different things.  From my perspective — the ‘spirit’ is what incarnates into the physical body.  The ‘soul’ itself — doesn’t.   Another word for the ‘unified’ or ‘twinned’ process would be in ‘unison.’  It was not a physical ‘unison’ or unifying process as much as it was an inner and spiritual process.
